The YouTube Podcast Strategy That Gets My Spirituality Clients Consistent Visibility & Income

Almost one year ago, I became a podcast producer. I started working with one client from an Instagram story, and we basically worked together for months. I was in the trenches, figuring out what was working, what wasn’t, and constantly adjusting as we went.

Fast forward four months from our one-year anniversary, and my client is monetized on YouTube. She’s not just gaining subscribers—she’s building a thriving community, running live workshops, and steadily moving toward her income goals. Her audience is so engaged, they’re practically obsessed.

And it’s all happening through her YouTube podcast.

So today, I want to show you how my three spirituality-space clients are consistently getting visibility—and income—through their YouTube podcast shows. These are weekly episodes I produce from editing all the way to publishing. And the best part? Even if you’re doing this solo, you can get the same results. Done right, it can replace your entire marketing system.

If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Liz Manuel—photographer turned content producer and strategist. I’ve spent the past six years in this world, and the last six months full-time producing podcasts for clients. My goal is to teach you everything I’m learning so you can learn from my mistakes and do this in less time.

Step 1: Be Clear on Your Goal

Consistency starts with clarity. Without drive and motivation, consistency won’t happen.

All my clients came to me wanting their YouTube podcast to be a driver for business growth. Your podcast needs to be in direct alignment with your goal. Are you building a community? Making an income? Whatever your goal is, it must resonate with your heart—because strong desire fuels consistency.

Also, make sure podcasting is the right tool to achieve your goal. Organic content marketing can support almost anything, but if your business is partially local, make sure your online content aligns with what you can actually deliver digitally. Your show should intentionally help you reach your objective.

Step 2: Capitalize on What’s Working

Not all visibility is good visibility. If your audience isn’t aligned with your offer, it won’t convert. That’s why data matters—even if you’re not a numbers person.

Look at your metrics monthly. Focus on:

  • Retention: Are people watching a significant portion of your video? Anything over 40% retention is worth noticing.

  • Average View Duration: How long are viewers staying engaged?

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): Are your titles and thumbnails compelling enough? A CTR over 5% is excellent.

The key is to fuse what you love talking about with what your audience actually resonates with. When your content is enjoyable for you and performing well, that’s when results happen.

Step 3: Implement Consistency Systems!

This is where sustainability comes in. To get consistent visibility, you need to consistently put yourself out there. Sounds obvious, but it’s harder than it seems.

A strong system combines:

  • Desire: Your goal has to be motivating enough to keep you showing up.

  • Data awareness: Be willing to adjust your creative direction based on what’s actually performing.

  • Structure: Have a plan that keeps your production on track.

I use two systems:

Monthly Schedule:

  • Week 1: Plan

  • Week 2: Create

  • Week 3: Edit

  • Week 4: Publish

This creates 4–5 pieces of content each month, with a bonus week for catch-up or analytics.

Weekly Schedule (more advanced):

  • Monday: Plan

  • Tuesday: Create

  • Wednesday: Edit

  • Thursday: Publish

  • Friday: Bonus/Repurpose

The order matters more than the specific days. Shift around if needed, but keep the flow consistent.

With these systems, three clients’ podcast shows run without delays or missed publish dates. Discipline, desire, and willingness to adjust your creative direction are key. If you combine those with consistent systems and data awareness, you’ll see success.

I’m curious—what’s been hardest for you? Finding consistency? Visibility? Is your audience truly aligned with your offer? Drop a comment and let me know!
