How I Create Hyper-Authentic Copy for My Small Business

ree

The world is speeding toward AI everything—and while that might sound like a robotic nightmare, it doesn’t mean your content has to lose its soul.

Right now, AI is being used for so much—often in clever, efficient ways. I know because I use it every day in my business. From marketing campaigns and SEO tags to video descriptions and blog outlines, AI is in my toolkit. But here’s the deal: I use it to enhance my voice—not erase it.

In this post, I’m walking you through exactly how I use AI to create hyper-authentic copy for my business, and how you can do the same. Plus, I’m giving you access to the exact prompts I use inside my free resource: [ChatGPT Prompts for Content Marketing].

Let’s dive in.

Step One: Define Your Voice

Before you ever prompt ChatGPT, get clear on how you want to sound. Like, actually write it down.

Start by defining your traits. For me, I want to come across as bold, witty, perspective-driven, soft, and compassionate. Think about your adjectives—what makes your voice yours?

Next, gather inspiration. This doesn’t have to be from some hotshot copywriter or best-selling author. It could be a blog post, an Instagram caption, a newsletter—anything that makes you go: yes, this sounds like how I want to show up.

Paste that inspiration into ChatGPT and tell it what you like about the tone. Be specific. You're not asking it to mimic someone—you’re showing it how to understand you more clearly.

Finally, tell AI how you want to be perceived. What should people feel when they read your content? Should it feel warm and casual? Authoritative and insightful? Should it make them excited to take action? This piece is crucial—it bridges the gap between your intent and your impact.

Put it all together, and you’ve just created a foundation for authentic AI-powered writing.

Step Two: Give AI the Right Info (Once)

This part is magic. Once you’ve taught AI your voice, inspirations, and desired tone—you don’t have to do it again. This is where efficiency really kicks in.

Let’s say I want a two-sentence YouTube description that’s keyword-optimized and based on the actual words I said in the video. I’ll give AI that one prompt, and if I like the result? I save it. I reuse it.

If you’re not already using Descript—get on that. It transcribes your video content almost perfectly, and I use it for everything. I take that transcription and plug it right into ChatGPT. Boom: I’ve got SEO-friendly copy, social media captions, blog outlines… all from one piece of content. That’s how you multiply your message without multiplying your time.

Record once. Transcribe. Repurpose endlessly.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about having AI. It’s about knowing what to ask it. That’s why I created my ChatGPT Prompts for Content Marketing freebie. I use these prompts every single day. And once you’ve gone through the setup—your content basically starts writing itself (while still sounding like you).

Final Thoughts

Here’s the truth: AI isn’t here to replace your voice. It’s here to amplify it—if you use it with intention. Define your tone. Feed it inspiration. Tell it how you want to be felt. Then, prompt once, save it, and let the system run.

This is how I create consistent, on-brand, authentic content without burning out or sounding like a robot.

Be sure to grab the ChatGPT Prompts for Content Marketing free resource and let’s make your content marketing a whole lot easier.

Until next time,— Liz
