How I Easily Created an Online Offer for My Business

Today I want to talk through how to easily create an online offer for your business—or more specifically, your online portion of your business. Whether you’re a local business owner who wants to offer something online, or you’re running a totally online business and just want to start, optimize, or simplify your first offer—this is for you.
Let’s get right into it.
There’s a lot of doubt that can come up when you’re thinking about creating your first offer. Especially when you’re new to the online space. It’s intimidating. You start to question your ideas, your abilities, your experience… and honestly, that mindset can make the whole process feel way harder than it needs to be.
So in this blog, I’m walking you through the three mindset shifts that helped me easily create my first offer—one that’s now officially live. And just for context, I’ve been in content marketing for about six years now. I started with my wellness biz, Brilliant Pit, in 2020—making things like coffee eyebrow tint and rosemary hair oil, all with the mission of aligning people with the seasons.
Now I had studied media production in college, so what naturally happened was that I ended up putting most of my energy into creating content—because not only was I good at it, it felt natural.
Meanwhile, product creation was falling behind. I was still studying herbalism at the time, so the making part just didn’t feel as easy as the marketing side.
Eventually, I pivoted. I started Essence Presents Production to help other small businesses create the photos and videos they needed, because I knew how hard it was to manage content on top of running a business.
So here’s the truth I had to face—and what I want you to hear:
You cannot reach your goals online unless you have an offer.
I know that might sound obvious, but let’s be real. How many of us have been told to “just post to build trust”? Same. I did that for two and a half years. And what did I have to show for it?
Just content.
Because I didn’t have anything to lead people to—and so all that content, while valuable in theory, wasn’t actually driving results. Even something like growing your email list is an offer. And if you’re not giving people something in exchange for their attention, it’s going to feel like a lot of work without any traction.
So here’s the mindset shift: posting to build trust, without an offer, is a waste of time.
And it doesn’t have to be a paid offer. You could simply start with a themed newsletter. If your newsletter gives consistent, exclusive value to your audience, that is an offer. And the beauty of that is—it’s yours. You own your list. It’s not a trend or an algorithm you have to outsmart.
Which brings me to the next point:
Your experience is valuable.
I don’t care what your path has looked like—if you believe you have nothing to offer, you’re just wrong.
You have experience. You’ve lived, you’ve practiced, you’ve learned. And when you can start viewing your experience as something that can help others through a transformation—that’s when it gets easier.
Even a tiny product like a hair clip offers a transformation. Think about it: messy hair → hair up and looking put together. Small? Yes. Valuable? Absolutely.
You can shape-shift your experience into an offer the same way.
So, back to me as an example: I’m a content strategist. I offer a consulting experience called The Content Burnout Solution. Why? Because I knew my experience—creating content and burning out from it—had value. I figured out how to streamline it down to under 10 hours a month and actually see ROI. So that’s what I teach. Clear process, clear A to B transformation.
And that leads me to the biggest mindset shift of all:
Make your first offer the first step toward your bigger dream.
This changed everything for me.
Let’s say your dream is to run a retreat center one day. Right now, that feels miles away. You’re not even creating content yet, let alone leading people anywhere. So how do you get there?
Start by asking: What’s one small step I can offer right now?
Maybe it’s teaching a yoga class. Maybe it’s creating a meditation guide. Maybe it’s helping others understand breathwork, or teaching what you do know from your own healing journey. Those micro-offers are bridges—they move you closer to that dream, while giving you clarity and confidence along the way.
And most importantly? Those little offers help you start. And starting is everything.
So to recap:
Stop posting just to “build trust”—if there’s no offer, there’s no momentum.
Know that your experience is valuable—it just needs to be organized into a transformation.
Make your first offer a stepping stone toward your bigger vision.
That’s how I created my first offer with ease—and how you can too.
